The Cassovia New Industry Cluster (CNIC) convened its General Assembly Meeting on September 27, 2023, in Historic Hall of the Rectorate at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ). The gathering, presided over by the recently elected chairman, Assoc. Prof. JUDr. Marcel Dolobáč, PhD., from the Faculty of Law at UPJŠ, brought together representatives from key CNIC partners, including Pavol Jozef Šafárik University, Technical University in Košice, University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Košice, the city of Košice, Košice Self-governing Region, Cassovia Discovery Park, Slovak Academy of Sciences, and Louis Pasteur University Hospital.
After the approval of the agenda, Assoc. Prof. Marcel Dolobáč assumed the role of the new chairman, moderating the proceedings of the meeting with a focus on collaboration and strategic development.
One of the highlights of the assembly was the presentation of the Association’s Annual Report and financial statements for the year 2022 by Prof. RNDr. Pavol Miškovský, DrSc., the Chairman of the CNIC Board. These reports provided insights into the professional, economic, and organizational activities carried out by CNIC since the last General Assembly Meeting. Plans for the cluster’s development through collaborative project initiatives with founding members and industrial partners were also outlined.
